Darby and Esther Foley My grandmother, Esther Hettie Byrne, seen as a toddler on the left, was born 13 Apr 1879. Her parents were David BYRNE and Ellen FANNIN. The house on the left above is where Jeremiah and Margaret Foley lived at 8 Summer Hill Parade in Dublin, and where Darby Foley was born at home in 1878. The Tom Lyons pub with the yellow doors is next door, then the Bridge Tavern. All three buildings have had major renovations over the years. The house at 4 Liverpool Street in South Dublin where Esther was born has long since gone, as has the entire street.
